First Generation Graduation (FG) - Engineering
The First Generation Graduation (FG) Scheme aims to support students who are the first in their family to pursue higher education in the engineering field. This initiative helps economically disadvantaged families by covering tuition fees and other educational expenses.
Objectives- Encourage students from first-generation families to enroll in engineering courses.
- Provide financial assistance for tuition, books, and other academic needs.
- Reduce dropout rates due to financial constraints.
- Empower students from economically weaker sections to achieve professional success.
- The student must be the first person in the family to pursue a degree in engineering.
- Must have completed higher secondary education (12th grade) from a recognized institution.
- Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/-.
- Admission must be secured in a recognized engineering college.
- Tuition fees for government and self-financed institutions.
- Book allowances and other necessary academic expenses.
- Additional scholarship support based on merit and financial need.
